TOP 5 PG'S IN THE LEAGUE !!!!!

Click the jump to see the Top 5 point guards in the league this season.

5.  Russell Westbrook

Making his first all star appearance this year, Westbrook is making his presence felt, with his lightning speed, explosiveness, and his highlight reel dunks. Every year he has shown improvement in being the floor general for the Oklahoma City Thunder. This year Westbrook is averaging 22.2 points, 8.3 assists, and 4.6 rebounds per game, leading the Thunder to another 50 win season.

4. Deron Williams
Usually Deron would be top 3 point guards but since he has been traded to the Nets his numbers have dropped drastically. For the year he is averaging 20 points and 10 assists per game, but since the trade deadline he is only averaging 14 points per game. Maybe the sudden change of scenery is having an effect on his game but he will have to get his usual numbers to even have a chance of getting the dreadful Nets into the playoffs next season.

3. Rajon Rondo

Rondo started off this year on top of his game setting the record for most assist in a 5 game span with 82. During this five game span he also recorded one of the best triple doubles of all time with 24 assists (most assists in a triple double all time). Behind the two-time all star’s leadership the star studded Boston Celtics are having another great regular season.

2. Chris Paul

Arguably the best point guard in the league for the last four years, Chris Paul continues to put a injury prone New Orleans Hornets team on his back. He is on his way to leading a very mediocre team into the playoffs once again. His numbers are a little down this year but he is averaging 16 points and about 10 assists per game.

1. Derrick Rose

In only his third year, Rose has taken the league by storm with his clutch shots, stingy defense, cat quickness, and ferocious dunks and is on the verge of winning the MVP award. Before the season started nobody would have thought D Rose would be in the lead in the MVP race or the Chicago Bulls would in first place in the Eastern Conference. He is averaging 24.4 points and about 8 assist a game.
